I was part of a team working on the design system. I help build out core components and implement them across the the COIN platform.
Following its spin-off from Siemens' energy division, Siemens Energy needed a streamlined digital solution to manage HR tasks with a reduced support team. Their goal was to develop a custom-built Self-Service HR platform that connects global teams and supports managers through a unified and accessible tool.
We developed COIN, a scalable HR platform that surfaces data-driven insights within an intuitive design to streamline HR operations. The platform features a unified interface encompassing a variety of sub-applications and workflows. It empowers managers to handle HR tasks independently while giving employees clear visibility into decision-making processes. COIN was designed to enhance transparency and optimise HR efficiency with a focus on ensuring equity and alignment across the organisation.
COIN uses real-time data to enable transparent H R decision-making, fostering alignment across global teams while considering regional differences.

COIN was designed i n close collaboration with Siemens Energy stakeholders and development teams. We followed an agile project setup prioritising continuous feedback for iterative refinement loops. This ensured the platform was adaptable, scalable, and aligned with Siemens Energy's evolving HR needs and business goals.
Leading this project for the past year, I focused on establishing a scalable design system unifying existing designs in close collaboration with Siemens' internal development team to ensure this project is scalable for future growth. This has been a rewarding challenge, particularly in its versatile and complex project setup. I particularly enjoyed collaborating with different stakeholders and development teams across the many sub-applications, building strong relationships and driving our alignment and effectiveness in a n agile team setup.
Given COIN's data-centric nature, representing and structuring these complex processes presented unique challenges for effective UX design. The platform's navigation and information architecture cater to various use cases and workflows, delivering a tailored and intuitive experience for users. A robust design framework facilitated the development and testing of the design.

A design process embedded within an agile team environment with multiple stakeholders for us meant to quickly develop concepts and low-fidelity prototypes to test their usability and align them with business and product requirements.
